SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 19, 2001--Atmel

all sales channels with the production release of ProChip Designer,
its full-featured Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tool. ProChip
Designer 3.0 is a full-featured EDA suite for Atmel's simple and
complex programmable logic devices (SPLDs and CPLDs). Version 3.0 has
been shipping since early July and replaces the previous beta version
2.0. It includes numerous enhancements and improvements to make the
task of creating new designs easy, and to allow the user to take full
advantage of the unique Logic Doubling(TM) capability of the ATF15xx
family, all accessible through the convenient graphical user
interface.
For easy evaluation, designers may download a 30-day free trial
version of ProChip Designer 3.0 from the Atmel EPLD Software page
http://www.atmel.com/atmel/products/prod147.htm#pcdtrial.zip.
The evaluation version of ProChip Designer 3.0 is also available
on the widely distributed and readily available free Atmel EPLD

office, distributor, or on Atmel's website. This CD also includes the
permanent license version of ProChip Designer 3.0, that can be easily
activated with the soft key access code provided with purchase. The CD
also includes ATF15xx family fitters V1.8.3.9, ISP software, the Logic
Doubling white paper and reference designs, and design tutorials as
well as free Atmel PLD design tool, WinCUPL.
The ordering part number for ProChip Designer permanent license is
